Electromagnetic Pollution by David Furlong

Background
We now come to an area that quite definitely falls within the realm of physicality yet can sometimes be confused with psychic phenomena.

In recent years human beings have started to expose themselves to a vast range of electrical frequencies far in excess of what we have experienced before. These most certainly have an effect on the mind and body, yet whether this effect might be harmful to us in the longer term is another issue, which only time will resolve. What is certain is that some people are quite seriously disturbed by this increase in electromagnetic energy, such as mobile phone use, and that with some individuals the imbalances so created may mistakenly be considered to be due to psychic activity such as spirit attachments or invasions. It is therefore important to address this area specifically.

A modern phenomenon
I first came across this issue when I heard a college lecturer describe the difficulties his wife experienced when she stood within the electrical fields generated by the ring main of her house. She suffered from a series of health problems, which although not seemingly serious, as the doctors could find no obvious cause, nevertheless proved to be very debilitating, resulting in a form of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). I cannot recall how it was discovered that electricity was causing her problems, but as soon as steps were taken to shield her from these influences the symptoms vanished. Some of the measures that she had to adopt were quite bizarre, including using an aluminium foil in a hat, which she had to wear whenever she was inside the property.

The ubiquitous mobile phone

In the modern world we expose ourselves to a wide range of electrical frequencies, through televisions, power cables, computers and, more recently mobile phones. All of this is very new to human beings, and the long term consequences cannot at this stage be determined. Our bodies are held together by electromagnetic energy fields, and by exposing ourselves to these outside energies we are certainly causing changes within us. Whether this is a problem for you or not comes back to your individual make-up. Some people may be more seriously affected than others. In principle the more balanced we are the fewer problems we will experience.

Testing devices
Since coming across the potential problems caused by electricity I have acquired a very sophisticated testing device that can assess the impact of different electromagnetic energy fields, such as mobile phones, on the body. This is based on testing the skin's electrical impedance at different acupuncture points of the body the most important of which are on the fingers.

The discovery of the link between the acupuncture points and the electromagnetic energy fields of the body is a fascinating story showing the correlation between the physical body and subtle non-physical fields, which in Ancient Chinese terms was known as Ch'i that flowed along specific pathways or meridians of the body. It stemmed from the pioneering work of a German doctor called Rheinhold Voll, who researched these links in the 1950's and 1960's. Since then many devices have been created based on his research, which can be used to assess health balance as well as to test for food sensitivities and a range of disease causing problems. Into this category comes electromagnetic pollution.

The impact of electromagnetic pollution
Using this equipment it is very easy to detect whether an individual is affected by different types of electromagnetic influence, including mobile phones. There is no doubt in my mind that all of these devices are having an effect, but certainly some people are better placed to counter these negative influences.

In broad terms, based on the results from my testing equipment, I would say that the following devices are likely to cause some imbalance in your energy field.

• mobile phones
• computers
• televisions
• mains electrical cables
• overground power lines
• microwave cookers
• global positioning system (GPS) navigators

Kinesiology or muscle testing
A more simple method for testing mobile phones is through kinesiology or muscle testing. It can shown that simply having a mobile phone or wireless device on your person induces a weakness in the muscles and highlights the debilitating effect of all of these devices if shielding or neutralising of the device is not present.

Protective devices
The most obvious protective step you can take is to try wherever possible to cut down on your exposure to these energies. For example, laptop computers emit less radiation than desktop computers however against this they are often closer to the body. Try to use laptops on a hard surface rather than your lap. Sit at least six feet away from a television and switch off electrical supplies whenever possible. Whilst these steps can be applicable to computers they do not work for mobile phones where a form of shielding or neutralising device is recommended.

There are also shielding devices on the market, which can help us rebalance our energies. They work by helping the body neutralise the effect of the radiation rather than trying to block its influence.
